About Course

The IFDP Strong Start Baby Programme is a self-paced online family development course designed for expectant parents and parents of babies aged 0–12 months. Delivered through the IIFAL Learning Platform, this programme provides practical guidance, evidence-informed strategies, and supportive learning to help families build a strong and confident foundation during the earliest stage of a child’s life.

The first year of life is a period of rapid growth and development, where early experiences play a vital role in shaping a baby’s emotional security, learning, and long-term wellbeing. This course supports parents in understanding their baby’s needs, developing secure attachment, and creating a nurturing home environment that promotes healthy development for both baby and family.

Across seven structured modules, learners explore key areas including preparing for parenthood, understanding infant development, building strong parent–child relationships, supporting early learning, establishing healthy routines, and maintaining family wellbeing. The programme also places strong emphasis on parental wellbeing, helping learners build confidence, resilience, and positive parenting skills.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the course allows learners to study at their own pace while applying practical strategies within daily family life. Each module includes video lessons, reflective activities, knowledge checks, and downloadable resources to support understanding and real-world application.

Upon successful completion, learners receive the IFDP Strong Start Baby Programme Certificate of Completion.
