Important Notice: CPD Validity and Live Training Requirement
This CPR and Basic First Aid course is recognised as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is intended to support ongoing learning and awareness of life-saving skills. However, please note:
This course alone is not sufficient to qualify you to act as a certified first aider in real-life emergencies.
Live, in-person training is mandatory for full qualification, as you may be responsible for someone’s life in critical situations.
Validity:
If you complete only the e-learning course, the CPD is valid for 6 months.
If you complete live, in-person training alongside this course, the CPD is valid for 1 year.
It is your responsibility to ensure your training is current and meets any legal or workplace requirements. Always seek accredited in-person instruction to practise physical skills safely and effectively.
Course Description
The CPR and Basic First Aid course is a comprehensive, hands-on training programme designed to provide participants with the critical skills necessary to save lives in emergency situations. Through practical demonstrations and interactive learning, participants are taught how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, ensuring they are equipped to handle a variety of scenarios. The course covers essential techniques such as opening airways, managing choking incidents, and using the Heimlich manoeuvre effectively. Additionally, participants will learn how to control severe bleeding, treat wounds, and stabilise individuals until professional medical help arrives.
The course also addresses environmental emergencies, such as heatstroke, hypothermia, and burns, teaching participants how to respond in these situations. Throughout the programme, emphasis is placed on proper situation assessment, helping learners identify the appropriate response strategies for different medical emergencies. By the end of the course, participants will feel confident and prepared to act swiftly in potentially life-threatening situations.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a CPD certificate in CPR and Basic First Aid, validating their learning and understanding of life-saving procedures.
